Therapy offers a powerful, almost sacred place to examine, heal and change your life. Within a safe, trusting environment you have the opportunity to listen deeply to yourself and learn to make important changes and adjustments that can greatly enhance your life. You have, within your feelings and experiences, the necessary wisdom to guide your life. My task is to help you listen to, engage with, and understand yourself more fully, thereby helping you to become more aware of and trust your authentic self.
I have a deep and well-worn respect for this work and have learned that by careful, empathic listening we can catch hold of that inner thread to guide your next steps in life. All of the symptoms that can be troubling: anxiety, anger, depression and pain, are the inner voices calling for attention. To move out of pain, discomfort and stuck places you will have to listen deeply to yourself and come to a place of self understanding. Moving out of discomfort requires listening to it and being with it. You will come to know yourself more fully and come to see yourself and your life through more compassionate understanding. It would be my privilege to assist you with this process.
My style is direct and engaging, but also quite warm and sensitive. Though I have primarily adopted an Experiential and Depth orientation, my approach varies with each client as I attune myself to their particular needs.
